I visited during the lunch rush, so I expected a bit of a wait, but the service was slower than anticipated. Given the time it took—about 15 minutes—I was hoping for a more authentic dish. Instead of the 4-ounce steak I expected, I was served bits of ground meat mixed with scrambled eggs, which was a letdown. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations for quality or value

Very disappointing the pork was so dry and was not even lukewarm. The yucca was dry chalky and very tough to eat.

I love the market where this place is located. There are so many different foodstalls to choose from that it can sometimes be a little intimidating. I'd never had pupusas before so decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed. The food was prepped right before us and served hot and fresh. The coleslaw had a nice kick and crunch to it. I recommend getting the Yuka fries, they were very good.

Went here during the summer for an extended lunch and the pupusas were really good and filling, the price was a bit up there but that's just how it is here at Grand Central Market.
The horchata was really good too, not too sweet and if you like it grainy it has that. Beware tho, it is very hot inside and can get packed in the narrow spaces, so just keep hydrated and everything is fast. I heard the cortido was a bit spicy but I don't think it was, just an FYI for those with spice sensitivity. Overall, really good pupusas

At a pupuseria, you should really stick to the pupusas and this place holds up to their reputation. Went on a Wednesday around 530 and with a few orders in front of me, I only waited about 10 mins.
I had the Revuelta which is a mix of pork, bean and cheese. You have to get the slaw with a few squirts of the traditional hot sauce that ties it all together IMO. The hot sauce is spicy and the flavor of garlic and whatever else is amazing. The pupusa was hot and crispy coming off the flat top and went down smooth with a Modelo. They’re a good size bigger than average and worth the $5.50. Definitely swinging by next time for 1 while I’m still in town.

Sarita’s is classic. So classic it was even chosen as the location where the actors first dated in LaLaLand. I loved the food although the people working there are so exhausted or something they have zero enthusiasm. Their low energy and bad vibe kinda weighs on the whole experience. The lines are always insanely long and if you need anything after they call your order, good luck getting their attention. I ordered something that said it came with sour cream and a bunch of extra stuff on their menu sign. When I asked for it, they said no in a confused way. I told them it was on their sign and they still said no. So I ate my fried plantains raw with no condiments… meanwhile the person next to me got a full plate of sour cream and condiments with the same order.

Aside from those things, the prices are extremely high and I heard other customers speaking at their table saying “this was how much?! What a scam!” I couldn’t help but agree after not even receiving the full plate I ordered.

Excellent. Wished they had more filling, but overall they tasted great. We had the traditional pork and beans and also the mixed one. They were made fresh right in front of us. The symmetry was amazing; perfectly rounded pupusas. The salsa was a bit spicy, but that’s on personal preference. The vinegar vegetable toppings were amazing as well.

As a big fan of La La Land this review may be a bit biased! The carne asada pupusa was good (the dough is incredible), and it’s a decent portion for the price. The only downside was it took about 20 minutes for the pupusa to be ready. Would definitely go back though to try all the other versions and dishes.
