I had known Patrick for many years before I learned he had this incredible talent for wood design and manufacture. But once I did and saw what he was able to do on other projects, it was without question that we would have him build the white oak vanity in our new master bathroom. He heard our wants for the project and quickly built a 3D model. Having this model enabled him to visually identify changes that led to a better design. Patrick delivered the vanity the day our contractors needed it to install, and it has quickly become the centerpiece of our new bath. At the nexus of strength and finesse, the vanity feels extremely sturdy as the drawers and doors ease closed with the fine ‘soft-close’ hardware that he picked. He helped us choose a stain that brought out the beauty of the wood, and he educated us about the terminology and best practices of cabinetry and design. Beyond that, Patrick has good taste and ideas, so we ended up with a piece that perfectly fit with our larger vision for the room. Please use this genius craftsman for your wood projects. My wife and I consulted with Patrick to create a Dining room table for us and we could not be happier with the end result. We wanted a table that would last, be truly tested by our two little kids, and also be accommodating to our family of 4 and our extended family of 10. We also asked on Feb 13th for the table to be ready by St. Patrick's day as we were planning on having family over on 3/19. Patrick had it ready and delivered the table ahead of schedule which was great! The overall process was easy and smooth - emails back and forth to confirm the design, the progress he was making, the look of the table, the final stain color of the table, and a very easy to follow video to show how the two table inserts operated. We love the table and it completes our Dining room in a real special way. One final point - it was so refreshing and a relief to know that the table was being made with care and that the delivery was not going to be a problem. Lately, delivery of furniture/household items has been a mess. Items are often damaged or delayed or my personal favorite, damaged AND delayed. My wife and I were comforted by the fact that we knew when to expect the table and that it arrived as described. We have a few more projects that we are 'designing' and we will definitely work with Patrick (PDB Creations) again soon.
