I recently visited Gigi’s Cuban Bakery & Cafe and was thoroughly impressed by the authenticity and richness of the food. I tried the Pan con Lechón sandwich, a delicious creation with flavorful leftover roast pork, and was pleasantly surprised that it came paired with crispy plantain chips. The Palomilla dish, which included tender plantains, fluffy rice, and savory beans, was equally delightful and satisfying.

The ambiance at Gigi's is fantastic, offering more than just a typical cafe experience with its amazing bakery selection. The food's authenticity shines through, featuring rich, well-chosen ingredients that truly capture the essence of Cuban cuisine. The customer service was also commendable, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

I'm already looking forward to returning to try their pastries, as the bakery items look just as enticing as the savory dishes. Gigi's is a great spot for anyone craving authentic Cuban flavors, and it's the perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and possibly spend some time working at the cafe. Highly recommended for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere!

No acostumbro a dar malas opiniones de lugares que visito pero esta fue mi primer vez que un lugar no me gustó la atención, el local estaba sucio, la comida estuvo más o menos pero difiere mucho de la fotografía que publican y eso no es bueno…
Espero si regreso las cosas hayan cambiado…
Lo que sí me gustó son las exhibiciones de cositas antiguas.

This is the most authentic Cuban food place there is in Los Angeles. I highly recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to eat real Cuban food at great prices. Also, great service and fast. The place looks authentic, with a cuban atmosphere. Five stars, sure.

Fun shop. It’s not Porto’s but it’s local. Pastries tend to be a bit “bread forward” if that’s your thing. I would order based on what looks good and what you like rather than what was good at Porto’s if that makes sense.

This place is cool. The sweetened iced coffee with milk is a must!

One thing that irritates me is that every time that I am waiting in line, there always seems to be flies in the cases where the bread is. So when someone eats it, they are eating more than the bread. The workers don't really seem to care either... they just help out whoever is next....so gross!

Also, the last time I was there, I noticed they have a lot of regulars, and they seem to take priority than other people. I ordered 3 meat empanadas and a coffee. Immediately after me three gentlemen walked in, the cashier recognized them, and her demeanor just changed...she was attentive, she made sure to make their coffee, get them their fly bitten bread and then when she was done with them she started making my coffee.

The lady then motioned another worker for me to pick up my order...the lady had no clue as to where my coffee was...until I asked!

So rude! Anyway...I won't let one little bad episode ruin my opinion of the place.

Awesome tasting food that surely legit.
Parking is few. Service is a tad slow, always long lines. Tables are few but most take out. My favourite is the ropa vieja and also the Cuban coffee!
