Usualmente no vengo aqui, porque he tenido malas experiencias. Pero siempre para darle una oportunidad al servicio o a la comida decidimos ir a las Fogotas.
Pido una coka zero y me traen una coka diet. Le digo a la mesera, eso no fue lo que pedi yo quiero una coka zero y ella me apunta a la soda y me dice no tiene azucar. I don't care si no tiene azucar el sabor es diferente. Prefiero una soda regular que la de dieta. Ahi empezamos mal.
Luego pedi un torta tostada por todos lados, pan crujiente, no me gusta el pan aguado porque me da asco. La torta la pedi de chorizo.
La mesera trajo la torta y como el pan viene bañado o cubierto en una salsa y lo tostaron. Me entregaron la torta y el pan porsupuesto aguado. Y con el asco que me da. Decidi quitarle la parte de arriba y comer lo del centro pero la verdad que mi torta de chorizo sabia mas a frijoles que a chorizo. Claro tenia mas frijoles que chorizo, y no tenia aguacate.
Cuando llego la mesonera le dije que no me dieron el pan tostada y la joven se puso a discutir conmigo a decirme que ella tomo la orden como era y que yo tenia que decirle que no le pusieran la salsa al pan. Creo que pedir un pan tostada y crujiente es suficiente. Le dije a la joven dejelo asi porque no quiero discutir. El cliente siempre tiene la razon y aqui le faltan el respecto a la gente mayor.
Mi esposo se comio un menudo, y dijo que estaba bueno. Asi que lo unico que recomendaria es menudo para llevar. La torta si les gusta el pan aguado y el chorizo con sabor a puro frijoles. Y luego la mesonera algo altanera vino a dejarnos el recibo y dijo ahi esta su orden y su torta como la pidio "bien dorada" niña yo lo pedi tostada crujiente. El servicio de la mesonera fue altanero y irrespetuoso para una pareja de adultos.

Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas were very good.
Shrimp Huarache was good.
But the Meat in Carna Asada was very hard and got overcooked. It was unpleasant.
But overall, a good Mexican restaurant around Nolensville which can be better.

First time here, the service was great. The food was so delicious. The rice was some of the best Mexican rice I've ever tasted and the taco shell was different from any I've ever tasted but it was delicious as well. Cons are: they dont sell liquor and they only sell sodas in the bottle which cost $3.25 so no free refills.

It kills me to see poor reviews for this restaurant because they make almost everything from scratch, and I’ve never had a bad meal or experience in the numerous times I’ve been.
So, let me give some tips…
-If you’re looking for Tex-Mex then this isn’t the place for you.
-If you’re looking for bottomless margaritas that come from a mix then this isn’t the place for you.
-If you’re looking for cheap fast food then this isn’t the place for you.
Again, they pride themselves on homemade authentic Mexican food. If that’s what you want, give them a try. If not, there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from in Nash. But remember, if you decide to go, you GOTTA try the al pastor taco on a homemade corn tortilla!

We’ve been here a handful of times and have always had an amazing experience! Highly recommend the al pastor tacos on homemade corn tortillas. The lamb barbacoa & stew (weekends only) is the best lamb I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I normally don’t even like lamb. They have fresh juices and horchata which are always delicious! There can occasionally be a slight language barrier, but it’s a great opportunity to practice your Spanish! We’ve tried other authentic Mexican restaurants, but always end up coming back to Fogata’s because it never disappoints. Thanks, Fogata’s!!

Warm homemade corn tortillas wrapped around your option of eight traditional proteins served authentico style with cilantro and onion. Extensive menu of made in house entrees and meals. Thankfully for me everyone one spoke English and they were all really nice. We had the al pastor tacos which is tender pork cooked with trace of pineapple for flavor. It’s an incredible dish which comes with some fresh salsa, chips and a more mild jalapeño sauce and very spicy red sauce.

Absolutely delicious and service was fast and friendly! Fresh, homemade corn tortillas were amazing, and the super hot salsa drizzled into the table salsa took it over the top. Chile relleno was as good as I make at home, with ranchero sauce liberally poured atop. The taco and enchilada plate was so good I may do that next time. Btw, those beans and rice were yummy.

Go. Most folks spoke Spanish who were eating here, a sure sign for excellent Mexican food.

First impression: A little low-rent. A/C wasn’t keeping up and servers were too busy to greet. But that quickly all turned positive with a friendly waitress and absolutely delicious fajitas and juice drinks. Then the live music started and it was all amazing! We’ll be back, but casual clothes are in order.

Best sit down Mexican restaurant in this part of town. I love the taco trucks nearby, but if you’re in the mood for a clean restaurant, chips and excellent salsa, massive menu with affordable classics and exciting higher end items, this place does it.
