I have never eaten Honduran food before. A friend took me there yesterday for lunch. We ordered several items off their menu so we can get a good taste of all the food they had to offer. We left full and I've got to say it was amazing food. I will definitely be returning often.

Today it was a day for pupusas. Catrachos was really close to my location at the time so I decided to give it a try.
The restaurant is located on a small strip mall with limited parking but they have a couple of parking spots reserved for clients at the front.
First, I have to say that I was greeted respectfully and in a timely manner. After seating I was surprised with a basket of chips, beans and salsa (that is not the standard at most restaurants, so there goes the first PLUS).
I didn't ask for a drink so they brought me water.
I ordered three pupusas and I am not sure if that is the case all the time but they gave me an extra pupusa as a courtesy.
Food was good. The sizes are good but the pupusas were a little too salty for me. Other than that, good!.
The restaurant feels comfy and it feels familiar and includes a separated bar at the side.
The location is conveniently located at Redwood Road and 3600 S.
Service was the best part of my experience as the three people I interacted with, treated me respectfully and nice. I am definitely returning to try other plates.

Fuimos a probar este restaurante un día Viernes, vinieron unos Amigos de Nuevo Mexico de visita por Thanksgiving y mi amiga esta Embarazada y tenia tantas ganas de venir a este lugar ya que ellos antes vivían aqui en Utah.

Eramos un grupo de aproximadamente 12personas incluyendo niños.

Pedimos entre:
*Popusas
*Pescado frito
*Baleadas
*Coctel de camaron
*Micheladas
*Aguas frescas
*etc

La comida esta muy rica así que por mucho te lo Recomiendo...
Al principio la chica que nos atendió se estréso un poco ya que eras muchas personas pidiendo y preguntando muchas cosas respecto al menú, pero después el servicio fue muy bueno ✨️

The food here is amazing. And big portions for a great price. The staff is friendly. Anything and everything is tasty. We tried the pupisas, the chicharron, the steak, fish, yuka, plantains, beans, rice, shrimp.
I want to go back and try a shrimp cocktail.
It is a bit run down and old..some of the booths were pretty ripped up and torn. But these types of places usually have the best food.
Update: the shrimp cocktail here is amazing..and the best in Salt Lake. And I am very picky about my shrimp cocktail. Great flavor, limes were good, crackers, tostadas and variety of hot sauce! Amazing! I also loved the woman singing in the back. She was great at singing..she noticed me eating alone and was checking up on me and making me laugh. The music was great. I was dancing with my head while eating haha

Me pidieron que esperara 20 minutos por 4 pupusas. obvio no hay problema ya que se deben cocinar a fuego lento para que no las quemen como en mi caso, no estaban malas pero tampoco ricas. Lo peor de todo es que la persona que cocina no tiene ni remota ? idea que consumir comida quemada qnno es bueno .

Hola a todos los futuros consumidores del Restaurante catracho.

Soy una consumidora del Restaurante usualmente voy con mis amigos ,esta vez que fui fue una muy diferente como siempre muy deliciosa la comida ?,pero el día de hoy me atore con un pedazo de carne ya que no la mastique bien,y los 3 meseros que estaban en ese momento me dieron primeros auxilios y me salvaron mi vida.Le agradezco a Dios y a ellos que reaccionaron rápido ,como siempre muy complacida por la comida y el servicio.Dios les bendiga grandemente a ellos.
